We chose Crown from reviews we read and because he was an "in town" small business owner who we wanted to support. But that is all we knew at the time...and man we were just floored by the professionalism of Mohammed and his staff, the attention to detail and the superb craftsmanship so when we decided to get our guys sport coats, again for Christmas 2022, Crown was our first and only call.  Verified Just like you I read reviews first and decided to schedule an appointment to order a custom suit for my wedding. Mohammad was very distracted the 2 hours I spent mostly looking at the same wool fabric swatches. His website says suits under 1k which is what I wanted. He quoted me $1,500 because it was a "designer" pattern he'd need. I was hesitant then and should of left. Against my better judgment I put 1k cash deposit down (mistake) and returned a month later to pick up my suit. When I say every aspect of this 4 piece suit was wrong, it was wrong. Completely unwearable. Everything was too short and tight and overly feminine, which is not what I wanted. (I am an average 5'4 120 lbs woman) He promised he could fix it, so I returned a month after it was supposed to be finished and again way to tight and not what he promised. He didn't listen to my concerns and it didn't matter to him if I couldn't move, let alone bend my knee in a custom suit which should fit me. He "made" not 1 but 2 suits that work for mannequins not humans. 2 weeks before my wedding I scrambled to find a replacement outfit. Terrible business. Worst experience of my life as an LGBT woman. Expected a master tailor to not outsource his jobs to China. Take your business elsewhere, especially if you are a woman.  Verified If I ever need something tailored again, I am going to Mo. Not only is he a craftsmen, but he is truly an amazing person who will go above and beyond. It is not just about the money for him. He is equally rewarded when he sees how he has helped you and when you show how happy you are with the fit. That being said, he is very good at his job and he made my horribly fitted off-the-rack spaghetti-strapped bridesmaids dress that was too big for my bust, yet somehow fit my hips look great on me by reworking the middle section and molding it to my frame. Outstanding work that is technically difficult. He is a pro and you can trust his technical skill and expertise. I also called him on the day of the wedding in Chicago because none of the bridesmaids could figure out the eye-and-hook clasp on the back. I wanted a totally custom suit for my wedding. Men’s Wearhouse and Jos A Bank talked about custom suits, but pretty much just had tailored catalog suits. Mohammed really took the time to understand what I wanted to make the suit really feel like “my” suit. The results were great, and I’m glad that I spent a little more money to do it right. Mohammed is truly a master of his craft. I came to Crown Custom Clothing to purchase my first bespoke three piece suit for my 30th birthday. I will never go anywhere else. Mohammed took his time while showing me different fabrics and made sure I was happy with what I decided to purchase. I felt like I was being helped by a family member for my big day. The quality of my suit is beyond my ability to explain. All I know is I can tell he took his time and that his years of experience shows. The suit fit perfectly. He also made me a dress shirt. I have a slim athletic build. It is very hard for me to find a suit or dress shirt that doesn’t look too big or too short in the arms. With every movement the comfort of my new suit and shirt was never compromised. This was exactly what I dreamed of. I will be coming back soon for another.

My first time seeing a business with a 5 star rating, and it’s fully deserved. Let’s make one thing clear: custom-made clothing is expensive, and in there it’s worth every single penny. I needed a suit and a couple shirts rushed in for a wedding, and they were made with time to spare so that I could be sure they fit before the event. They are the most comfortable piece of clothing I have ever had. I’ll definitely go back for more shirts and some alterations.

I have never gotten alterations on clothing before, but needed some work done on a jumpsuit for my engagement photos. I am SO GLAD I found Crown Custom Clothing, they do an excellent job and are extremely timely. I thought I only needed the length fixed, but they were able to make a few other hems/adjustments that made my outfit fit perfectly. They are quick and precise, and everyone there is friendly and wonderful to work with. Highly recommended! They were able to hem a second dress for me for the same engagement shoot in a matter of days. I won’t go anywhere else.
